The Jane-Finch Community Research Partnership Training Modules:
Over the past year, we have worked with various community stakeholders to develop 7 online training modules. Together, these training modules provide orientation and a framework for researchers. The modules build on our document, “Principles for Conducting Research in the Jane-Finch Community” to create a holistic understanding of the community’s expectations of researchers who conduct research in the Jane Finch Community. We believe the modules, coupled with the Principles document, will increase the richness and community connection of research done in the Jane Finch Community. We encourage all researchers looking to conduct research in our community to take part in all 8 modules, along with their research teams and students, and to read the “Principles for Conducting Research in Jane-Finch” document.
The modules are self-guided, pre-recorded lessons that are co-created and facilitated by community knowledge holders. Each module has questions participants are expected to respond to as well as an additional reading list that can be used to further exploration. If you require assistance while taking the modules you can contact the JFCRP at janefinchresearch@gmail.com
Module 7, is a reflective exercise, and on successful completion, participants can request a certificate of completion by emailing janefinchresearch@gmail.com.
